October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - My life has been personally effected by breast cancer as one of my sisters has battled breast cancer since the Summer of 2009. I made a set dedicated to my sister Gayle and entered it into the 'Show Her Some Love' contest at Polyvore. The set placed 2nd out of 10 winning spots. I was honored to have been chosen by Joanne Teichman, Breast Cancer Survivor & fellow Polyvore member. Joanne is the owner of jewelry store YLANG | 23 and was the Featured Style Expert and contest judge. She picked 10 sets as winners to be featured on Ylang23.com and the Stand Up To Cancer Facebook page. Joanne not only sponsored this contest but also donated $10,000 on behalf of the entire Polyvore community. Thank you Joanne, you are truly a PolyStar!!
